The in between look of Old Hollywood Glamour style (bold lips, long lashes, contour, etc.) and the soft glam is what I like to call glamourous makeup. It's a mix of both; natural look of foundation, but then add a pop for the eyes, usually some sparkle, liner and long lashes.
This look is popular in boudoir photography and weddings. Its also a great look for a night out with the girls, dancing or sipping cocktails.
A natural look generally only requires one or two subtle eyeshadows, if any. To create a natural makeup look, you want to choose a foundation with light to medium coverage, as a heavy foundation can almost erase your features. You will want to use more neutral tones and minimal coverage for bronzer and blush.
This is the everyday makeup look you can go to work with and dress up when you get home by adding more color. Though this makeup may seem simple and “take less time” that is not the case. It takes just as long, if not the same amount of time, to prep the face properly for this type of application.
It's all about applying a product to your face to alter the way it looks. You can use creative makeup for various reasons, from ceremonies to Halloween to everyday beauty preferences. Creative makeup is the craft of using your face as a canvas, a skill that requires precision and a steady hand.
I love experimenting when it comes to creative artistry. You can start out with an idea in your head and throughout the process it could completely change. Feel free to bring me an idea to work with, or let me come up with the ideas for you, its completely up to you. I’m just here to make it happen.
